Integrated Tuning for 160 and 80 meter Dipoles and Verticals – Hamcation 2024

Wideband Coupled Resonator Dipoles and Verticals vs Dipoles with Integrated Step Tuning

The following attachments document a PCB and design for a simple 3 inductor remote tuner for 160, 80 and 40 meter dipoles, inverted vees and vertical antennas capable of 1.5 kw operation.  A BALUN or UNUN at the input of the tuner provides impedance matching.  Schematic, PCB, and gerber files for fabrication are included in the Tuner PCB design files attachment, and PCB’s are available at low cost from JLCPCB.  EZNEC design files for 21 different 160, 80 and 40 meter antennas are included in the Tuner Antennas attachment.  This tuner supports full band low-SWR coverage on 160, 80 or 40 meters with simple antennas which can be reduced size using bent legs or tophats as well as full-sized antennas.
